Lionel Messi truly came into his own as the best player in the world under Pep Guardiola, winning every major trophy along with 3 Ballon d’Or awards.
Pep’s unique coaching techniques are well known by now and Samir Nasri has explained how the manager imposed a ‘s3x-curfew’ on Messi.
“For him, his players’ s3xual activity must take place before midnight in order to get a good night sleep – even if they are free tomorrow,” Nasri told L’Equipe du Soir, via the Daily Star.
“He [Guardiola] said that he placed this rule on Messi and his muscles improved since.
“He told us this is how he managed to get the best out of Robert Lewandowski too and for them to avoid the maximum number of muscular injuries.”
Whether it’s down to this particular rule or, Messi’s longevity has been truly impressive to witness. Perhaps Guardiola is onto something with this after all.
