Tuchel make offical admission about possible signing, Chelsea told £254 million to sign superstar and German announces Chelsea is where he wants to be

£254 million for Haaland, Tuchel makes Kounde admission and German wants to be at Chelsea in latest Chelsea news…

Thomas Tuchel has admitted that Trevor Chalobah’s emergence could see Chelsea slow down their pursuit of Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.

Kounde is one of the most talked about young players in world football after developing into the kind of defender that most top clubs are looking to spend big money on in the coming windows, and Chelsea are a club that are reportedly interested in a deal.

The latest reports have claimed that they are willing to splash the cash in January to get a deal done, but the emergence of Chalobah may see the Blues NOT MAKE A MOVE for the talented young man

Chalobah was initially supposed to go out on loan this term but his early-season performances convinced Tuchel to keep him at the club and this week, he signed a new contract through 2026.

“I think every transfer period you need to evaluate again because you cannot say what we wanted in the summer we do in the winter or the next summer. It is not like this,” Tuchel said.

“Your opinion changes, players change, you have evolvement in the group. You have atmosphere that you build, you see who is absolutely reliable and these connections build up and create something special, hopefully, in the group.

“So you cannot say what we tried in the summer did not happen so we will try again for sure in the winter. Sometimes it is like this if we see the same need, but clearly Trevoh is now here with us and he deserves to be here with us. It had nothing to do with if we can sign another central defender or not.

“But he stepped up. The responsibility was even more on his shoulders and he can handle it so far in a very impressive way. This is the situation and it has an effect on our next decisions in the next transfer period. It is always like this.”

Thomas Tuchel has opened up and announced that he would like to stay at Chelsea for the long term

After deciding to leave PSG just a few seasons ago, Chelsea made the big decision to bring Thomas Tuchel to the club in hope he could get them back to winning the games biggest trophies

He brought in quality in all the key areas of the pitch and after a very successful summer window, has made this Chelsea side arguably the best squad in Europe, and a side that is very much capable of winning alot of trophies in the coming seasons

And now Tuchel, who was appointed Chelsea manager in January, has said he is hoping to stay with the club for a long time: “I can tell you today I will do my very best to stay as long as possible because I like where I am and I enjoy working every single day in this club and in this league,” Tuchel said on the club website

“For me it is a perfect fit. From here we go but it’s a weekly business, maybe it’s a daily business, and I am fully aware of it.”

Tuchel could go on to win the Premier League and Champions League title this season and make the board very happy, but Roman Abramovic is ruthless and Tuchel will need to know that he needs to keep the club at the level they are now or he will lose his job

He may want to stay long-term, but at the end of the day, results will keep him at the club

Chelsea have been told the astronomical price that they will have to pay next summer if they are going to acquire the services of Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.

Haaland is already one of the most talked about and sought after players in world football after developing into one of the most deadly strikers in the game ever since his move to Dortmund

Haaland, 21, was targeted by the Blues in the last summer transfer window but Dortmund’s reluctance to let the Norwegian go in the same summer as Jadon Sancho thwarted any deal from coming to fruition.

That meant that Chelsea opted to make a move for Romelu Lukaku, who has had a brilliant start to list back at the club, despite that serious injury that he has picked up recently

However, it is no secret that Chelsea would still like to acquire the services of the hot-shot striker and are reportedly all set to make a massive offer in the summer transfer window.

However, they will have to pay some serious money to get a deal done as the Germans will not accept anything less than £254 million to allow him to leave at the end of the season.

“Haaland has a release clause. The entire package with five-year salary and commission for the agent will probably be on the border of €250million to €300million [£254million],” Volker Struth revealed.

“Even if Bayern Munich had the money, they would not do it. All hell would break out if a player in Germany [was paid] €50million.”
