Fati, Pedri, Koeman: Why Barcelona only have €10m to spend in January explained by reporters

Barcelona only have about €10m to spend in the winter market because of the current expenditure surrounding the club, ESPN say.

Chief among those are the sacking of Ronald Koeman which is costing the club up to €12m

Also, the club recently handed new contracts to Ansu Fati and Pedri.

The new deals to the teenagers comes with a pay increase, which has further added to the club’s expenses.

Hence, new gaffer Xavi doesn’t have a lot of funds to draw from and must make do with €10m.

The club are looking at getting players on loan in January, as opposed to buying them.
