Fabio Carvalho hint, Antonio Rudiger worry: The latest Chelsea transfer rumours ahead of January

All the latest transfer rumours surrounding Chelsea ahead of the January window.

The Premier League title race looks set to be one of the closest in years and, as such, clubs like Chelsea will be eager to gain any advantage they can in the January transfer window.

Romelu Lukaku, Saul Niguez and Marcus Bettinelli were the only new additions in the summer as Thomas Tuchel looked to tweak the side that took the Blues to Champions League glory in May.

A domestic title will be on the German’s wishlist this term but both Manchester City and Liverpool look well placed to challenge, too.

Rumours are already beginning to swirl ahead of the January transfer window, with Chelsea linked to a number of new faces, while current players could also be on their way out.

We take you through the most recent rumours.

The exciting attacking midfielder recently rejected a new deal with Fulham and he is understood to be interested in the potential move to the Premier League.

“Fulham believe Fabio Carvalho’s head has been turned by interest from Real Madrid yet there are offers in the Premier League that are also being considered,” the report states.

“Liverpool, Chelsea and Southampton have all been monitoring his situation with an eye of taking advantage of a contract situation that is likely to see him leave Craven Cottage at the end of this season.”

Concerns continue to mount at Stamford Bridge that star centre-back Antonio Rudiger could leave the club on a free next summer with his contract situation yet to be resolved and growing interest from Europe.

The success of Tino Livramento at Southampton has alerted other Premier League clubs to the potential talent that lies in the Chelsea academy, with attacking midfielder Elliott the latest to attract attention.

“Chelsea are facing a fight to keep hold of another of their brilliant young players with teenager Ben Elliott being tracked by a trio of Premier League rivals,” according to The Sun’s report.

“Southampton, Brighton and Brentford have all shown an interested in the teenager who the European champions are keen to tie down to a new long-term deal.”
