We are heading into yet another round of international matches after this weekends Premier League fixtures.
We are having a more than normal amount of international breaks right now playing catch up after schedules being changed due to the pandemic.
Chelsea as always, will have many of their players involved in the domestic league break that starts from Monday, but there will be one player in particular who has chosen to stay behind and focus on keeping his place in the Chelsea team over playing for the England U21 side.
Callum Hudson-Odoi has once again turned down the chance to go and play for the U21 team, Gareth Southgate has revealed.
Southgate: “We would like him to be with the Under-21s. He feels he would be best served staking a case for the team with Chelsea. I think he has a better chance of impressing us if he is with the Under-21s as well, frankly.” [telegraph] #CFC

I have absolutely no problem with this at all, Hudson-Odoi’s level is way above U21 level now and for him to stay and focus on impressing Thomas Tuchel and keeping his place in the Chelsea team instead, I’m all for it.
