Chelsea are reportedly once again being mentioned with Inter Milan’s Marcelo Brozovic, who is asking for £5 million a year to remain at the San Siro.
FCInterNews, as cited by The Chelsea Chronicle, stated in October that the west Londoners are big fans of the 28-year-old midfielder.
The Sun has named them as a possible suitor for the Croatian star. Therefore, it appears like the Stamford Bridge outfit may still be interested in trying to bring him to the club in the future.
It is understood that Marcelo’s contract with I Nerazzurri is out of contract in the summer transfer market, with Newcastle United now looking at the player as a potential target.
The same report does explain, though, that the versatile midfielder would perfectly like to stay in Italy. He is demanding £5 million a year on a fresh contract from the board, which works out at around £96,000 per week.
In other news, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has said that he’s monitoring Billy Gilmour’s situation at the fellow Premier League club Norwich City.
Speaking to reporters, he said: “We will take the decision in January when it has to be made. In general I spoke with Daniel (Farke) about it and I was happy to meet Billy around the Norwich match at Stamford Bridge.
“It was clear when we spoke about it that he wants more minutes and more game time at another club. The challenge was clear that he needs to fight his way through and this is where he is right now.
“Things are not going as he maybe wishes, or as we all wish for but it’s not the moment now to already give solutions and cancel the whole project.
