Besiktas president reveals club wants to sign Pjanic on permanent deal

“Miralem Pjanic is a world-class name, we would like to buy him, but it depends on the conditions. I hope that the circumstances arise so that the operation stays within our budget,” Besiktas president Ahmet Nur Cebi has said.

Pjanic joined Besiktas in September on loan from Barcelona.

Since then, he’s made eight appearances, all of them from the start, providing four assists

His contract with the Catalans runs until 2024. It’s unclear what Xavi’s plans on the Bosnian are, but it’s been said that Miralem hopes to get a chance under the new coach.

The 31-year-old joined Barca in 2020 in a move worth €60m.

However, Ronald Koeman did not count on the midfielder and he barely played in the first season, eventually leaving on loan
