Ansu Fati speaks Concerning his first goal for Barcelona in ten months

Barcelona ended their three-game winless streak with a brilliant win against Levante the Camp Nou. Riqui Puig got more than three minutes to prove himself.

Barça played fluid football for the most part. Luuk de Jong scored his first goal for the club. Sergino Dest put an absolute shift at left-back.

A lot to love about today’s game, but nothing comes close to watching Ansu Fati return to the pitch.

While fans would have been more than delighted with his return itself, he went on to score the third goal in the win with an excellent strike from outside the box. A moment of nearly unparalleled joy.

Postgame, the Spaniard got the chance to speak to the press, and he did in the most wonderful way possible.

“I couldn’t imagine this. I am one more player in the group now. I will try to help the team when they need me. Now we’ll see how I feel, but it’s clear I’ll have to win the minutes.”

Ansu made his and the club’s intentions clear, expressing that they have strong objectives for the season.

“We want to fight for the league and for the Champions League, we are Barça and we have to fight and work for it.”

Of course, Ansu was asked about wearing the legendary #10 jersey, left behind by none other than Lionel Messi. He was predictably humble about wearing his idol’s number.

It’s an honor to wear the number 10 after Messi.”
