Roma are reportedly interested in trying to sign Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek – and some Blues fans on Twitter have responded by claiming they don’t want him sold.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Loftus-Cheek is included as a potential targets for the Serie A club in January.
The report names a list of possible targets for Jose Mourinho’s Roma, including Chelsea duo Loftus-Cheek and centre-back Antonio Rudiger.
Loftus-Cheek, who made nine appearances under Mourinho when he was Chelsea manager, is being eyed for a potential reunion. However, the Blues academy graduate is still under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2024.
Chelsea fans demand Loftus-Cheek stays
A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media have given a clear stance on Loftus-Cheek.
The 25-year-old’s Blues career has been turbulent because of injury problems, so many thought he was heading for the exit doors after an underwhelming loan at Fulham last season.
It’s been great to see him back with bang, though, at the start of this campaign.
The central midfielder is working his way into Thomas Tuchel’s plans by making nine appearances across all competitions so far this season.
He earned rave reviews after his performance on Tuesday night during Chelsea’s 1-0 away win against Malmo in the Champions League group stages. For example, pundit Peter Crouch said there is “no limit”on how good the Englishman can be.
Here are some Chelsea fans reacting to the Roma links with Loftus-Cheek:

Tuchel needs depth beyond January
If the London club want to sustain a Premier League title bid, they can’t go selling a load of players in the next transfer window.
Chelsea sit at the top of the league table right now largely because of the strength in depth they have.
Tuchel has been able to rotate freely between players, something he’ll need throughout the entire footballing year if they want to compete for silverware. They’ve been able to cope with numerous injury issues, too.
