Thankfully, some of Barcelona injured players are back and we’ll finally have some squad depth coming into the October fixtures.
By the way, here’s the fixture list.
Oct 17: Barcelona vs Valencia (La Liga)
Oct 20: Barcelona vs Dynamo Kiev (Champions League)
Oct 24: Barcelona vs Real Madrid (La Liga)
Oct 27: Rayo vallecano vs Barcelona (La Liga)
Oct 31: Barcelona vs Alaves (La Liga)
Here’s our proposed best eleven for these games.
Ter Stegen; Mingueza, Araujo, Pique, Dest; Busquets; Gavi, De Jong; Coutinho; Fati, Memphis.
It may be too early for Jordi Alba to start the next few games while Sergino Dest has done quite well at left-back recently.
If to choose one between Eric Garcia and Gerard Pique, we’d go for the latter (at least he remains solid aerially, unlike Eric).
Oscar Mingueza starts on the right as he’s a more reliable option than Sergi Roberto.
Pedri is yet to be fully fit, so we would go for the diamond midfield of Sergio Busquets, Gavi, Frenkie de Jong and Philippe Coutinho.
Coutinho was quite good at creating chances last time out. Busquets and Gavi are in fine form with Spain.
Memphis and Ansu Fati are clearly our best attackers these days. We’re yet to see how good Sergio Aguero can be, so the choice is quite clear.
