Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel named The Best FIFA Men’s Coach 2021

Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel has been named The Best FIFA Men’s Coach of the Year for 2021.

The 48-year-old, who joined the Blues following Frank Lampard’s departure in January last year, led the side to two cup finals and a fourth place finish last season.

Winning the UEFA Champions League and reaching the FA Cup final have etched his name into Chelsea folklore, with the club making huge steps forward in a very short space of time.

Beating both Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola and Italy head coach Roberto Mancini to the award, Tuchel follows two time winner Jurgen Klopp who collected the accolade in both 2019 and 2020.

Having only lost 7 times in just 36 games last season, Tuchel quickly turned the fortunes of his side around following a poor start to the 20/21 season with the Blues eventually finishing fourth in the Premier League table.
