Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga put in an impressive individual performance last night in the Carabao Cup – and even some Tottenham fans on Twitter praised his display against them.
Kepa, 27, helped Chelsea record a 1-0 away win at Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday to secure safe passage to the League Cup final.
The Blues won 3-0 on aggregate over the two legs and will face either Liverpool or Arsenal in next month’s final at Wembley Stadium.
Thomas Tuchel has a lot of credit in the bank as Chelsea manager after winning the Champions League last May, but history shows it’s a difficult position to fill for the long-term at Stamford Bridge.
The German boss is fully aware of the constant pressure on him, so to reach another cup final is a big.
For certain, winning the Carabao Cup would be a huge springboard to try win more this season with a squad more than good enough to compete across the board for silverware. The Blues last won the domestic cup competition back in 2015 when they beat Spurs.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media couldn’t help but acknowledge Kepa’s performance against them.
