Chelsea are interested in landing Bayern Munich forward Kingsley Coman, according to the latest reports.
And the club could snatch the attacker on a free transfer in 18 months.
That’s because Die Roten are currently reluctant to meet Coman’s demand to double the player’s weekly wage of £160,000.
According to Bild, the management are only willing to offer the France international £215,000 a week.
That has sparked interest from the Blues, who are said to be keeping a close eye on Coman, along with Barcelona.
And Chelsea could look to land him before his contract expires.
The German outfit would reportedly be prepared to let Coman depart for a cut-price deal of £47 million.
They are keen to avoid losing him for free, as happened with defender David Alaba last summer with the Austrian signing for Real Madrid after failing to agree to terms at Bayern.
And that increases the likelihood of Kinsgley making a switch in January or the summer transfer market.
The 25-year-old star has lifted a league trophy in every year of his professional career so far, so he’d add a wealth of experience to the Blues attack.
And considering the injury problems suffered by Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic, boss Thomas Tuchel may be grateful to have another winger available.
